Baccus checks in at Naturena

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the arrival of midfielder Kearyn Baccus, who was last with Australian side Melbourne City.

Baccus, who was born in Durban, has signed a three-year deal and will add steel to the centre of the park for Chiefs as they hunt a first trophy since 2015.

Baccus was once on the books of French Ligue 1 side Le Mans, but never played a senior game for them, and also played for Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League.

The 27-year-old found form last season with City, where he was a stand-out performer, but left the club for a new challenge.

His younger brother Keanu still plays for Western Sydney Wanderers.

He is the third notable signing of this window after strikers Lazarous Kambole and Samir Nurković.
