Celtic to play final home game in East London

Bloemfontein Celtic will finish their season with a home match in East London on Saturday as their ban on playing in the Free State capital continues.

Celtic are to host AmaZulu at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in East London at 3pm on Saturday when the Absa Premiership season draws to a conclusion with the last round of games for the campaign.

The ban on playing in Bloemfontein follows last month’s pitch invasion during the game against Cape Town City, which was then abandoned and the points awarded to City.

The league also banned them from playing in Bloemfontein again this season.

Celtic were then forced to take their next home match against Kaizer Chiefs to the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, which they won 1-0.

Saturday’s match in East London is key to Celtic’s hopes of finishing in the top eight. They are in ninth spot but one point behind eighth placed Highlands Park.
