Pirates lose Motshwari for Usuthu clash

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that they will be without midfielder Ben Motshwari for tonight’s Absa Premiership clash at AmaZulu.

Motshwari was injured in the 1-0 MTN8 quarterfinal loss to Highlands Park on Saturday and has been ruled of the match in Durban, though Pirates are hopeful he could be fit to face Green Eagles in the CAF Champions League at the weekend.

“According to the medical team, Motshwari has strained his knee and will not play any part in the clash against Usuthu,” the club said in a statement.

|The hardworking midfielder is currently undergoing rehabilitation as the medical team works around the clock to get the 28-year old ready for Bucs’ crucial CAF Champions League clash against Green Eagles this weekend.”

Motshwari, who arrived from BidVest Wits ahead of the 2018/19 season, has become a key figure in the Pirates midfield over the last 12 months.
