Chiefs defender Hadebe makes Turkish switch

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the sale of defender Teenage Hadebe to Turkish side to Yeni Malatyaspor, subject to a medical.

The Zimbabwe international becomes the second Chiefs star in 12 months to move to the Turkish league after veteran winger Siphiwe Tshabalala joined BB Erzurumspor at the start of the last campaign.

“Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to an outright sale of Teenage Hadebe to Yeni Malatyaspor.

Malatyaspor is based in Malatya, Turkey. The club plays in Süper Lig,” Chiefs confirmed in a statement.

“Hadebe attracted the Turkish [interest] with his performances at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations currently taking place in Egypt.”

The 23-year-old joined Chiefs from Chicken Inn at the start of the 2017/18 campaign and made 35 appearances over two seasons, scoring a solitary goal.
